This week we have received many new collections of fabric in the shop, from Moda we have received many new lines which include Sandhill Plums (Kansas Trouble line) We have Honey Buns, Jelly Rolls, Charms Packs, and Layer Cakes. Summer Breeze II from Moda in Jelly Rolls, Charms Packs, Layer Cakes, and Yardage. Good Fortune is also from Moda we have it in Jelly Rolls and Yardage. And last but not least we have Rouenneries Deux, which is from the French General Collection we have Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, and Layer Cakes in stock. We also have Garden Gifts from P & B Textiles. These are all great new collections and won’t last long so stop by today and get them before there gone!!

You asked and we got them back, YES that’s right we have received our shipment of Aborigine Fabrics this week. We have eight bolts of Aboriginal Art from “M & S Textiles” of Australia, the designs and colors are great in this new collection so stop by the shop and see them for yourself.

2011 and 2012 Block of the Months Update…

Hello Ladies,

We need to close out the Block of the Month for 2011 because as you know we have a new Block of the Month starting in January for 2012. I have to say I have seen a few of the Women’s Voices quilts finished from this year and you have done a GREAT JOB!! I have completed the first block for the “Love Letters” quilt for 2012 and I love it! ( Kits are ready now for January) So if you could please come into the shop and settle up with the 2011 blocks or pay your deposit for the 2012 block of the month before January. I want to keep everyone up to date this way I am not running two block of the month programs at the same time.

Diane is now going to carry a small amount of flannels which are starting to arrive, also as new arrivals go we have received fabrics from Marcus Fabrics which include two plaid flannels, Tavern Blues, Gallery in Red 2. From P & B we have “Adeline” (which is new 30′s fabrics.) and ”Florenzia” also from P & B. And last but not least from Timeless Treasures we have a new line call “Rose” a very striking rose print on a rich black background and Moda’s “Wildflowers V” yardage and layer cakes. Come in and see our new sample of the “Sew Sausalito” tote is approx.15″ wide and 12″ tall the handle can be made anywhere between 16″ (shoulder length) and 28″ (cross-body) length. New From Fall Quilt Market– The Fixion Gel Pen (by Pilot) Heat erasable marking pen, the ink erases with heat. I disappears right before your eyes, with NO visible trace of the ink. The only catch is if the ink is exposed to temperatures below 14 degrees the ink reappears. If the fabric is wash the ink doesn’t reappear. We are carrying the pens in packages of three pens each–Blue, Black, Red. or Purple, Orange, Pink. The cost of the pens are $ 7.99 per package of three.

New Batik Jelly Rolls have arrived as of Dec. 7th

Dec 15th—**NEW** Bali Pops have arrived in collections such as Blueberry, Plum Pudding, Coconut, Key Lime, Cherry, and Watermelon

Come together Sunday February 5th, 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Canaan fire house, to create multiples of one block and then have 6 very different layout options to choose from. Beginner skill level, but the seasoned quilter will love the eye appeal of the quilt.

Quilt is by Doug Leko of Antler Quilt Designs, called “Mysterious”. Project is available in two kit sizes-a Topper & a Throw.

Kits include jelly roll(s), fabrics and pattern needed for the quilt top and binding.

Kits: Topper–47″ X 47 –$75.00 Throw–63″ X 79″– $95.00

A deposit of $ 50.00 is required at the time of sign up. Balance is due by January 20th, 2012

We are asking each participant to bring a covered dish to share to help keep the cost of the day down as much as possible.

Monthly Breakfast Club

Is held on the third Sunday of each month from 11 am to 3 pm with Diane, she will teach a smaller project that may require some prep work before class or can be completed on your own. Past projects have included the Bali Bag, Wallhangings, Small quilts, and Hand bags. $15.00 includes the pattern for the project and a delicious breakfast, YUMMM.

All materials purchased for the class are 10 % off.
